Brand Marketing Specialist II
Introduction to Position:
We are a healthcare-focused digital product consultancy seeking a Brand Marketing Specialist to join our Growth team. This role requires a proactive storyteller and meticulous project manager who will fully own our event presence, maximize industry sponsorships, and translate deep healthcare insights into high-impact thought leadership and sales enablement content.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote and grow our brand, including crafting messaging for giveaways, branding initiatives, and promotional products.
- Own and execute Modea’s participation in industry conferences, including identifying and negotiating high-value sponsorship opportunities, managing vendor relations, writing speaking proposals, designing booth experiences, and keeping all activations strictly on-budget.
- Translate proprietary research and complex healthcare consulting concepts into compelling, client-ready thought leadership (white papers, reports) and high-impact sales enablement collateral that accelerates the sales pipeline.
- Proactively project-manage proprietary research initiatives, from survey deployment and participant recruitment to data tracking.
- Coordinate Modea’s award submission process by tracking high-value industry opportunities, collaborating with consultants to gather case study data, drafting submissions, and managing the award budget.
- Direct designers to ensure all sales and marketing collateral is flawless and on-brand before launch.
- Collaborate across the Growth team, and especially with digital marketing, on strategies to promote and disseminate content to the right audiences and measure content effectiveness.
- Plan and execute webinars through conference sponsorships and industry channels, collaborating with the digital marketing team to promote content to target audiences.
- Design, source, and curate unique gift packages for clients and prospective accounts to foster strong professional relationships.
- Stay current with B2B marketing trends, event best practices, and sales enablement tactics to keep Modea's presence fresh and impactful.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are reasonably within scope of this position.

- Impeccable proofreading and copyediting skills with an eagle eye for detail, tone, and grammar.
- Practical expertise in writing and developing diverse marketing formats, such as case studies, promotional materials, and transforming research into readable whitepapers.
- Strong organizational chops to fully own the logistics, timelines, and execution details for conferences and events.
- Ability to seamlessly manage relationships with third-party vendors, conference organizers, and printers, ensuring booth materials and swag arrive on time.
- A disciplined approach to tracking project-specific event expenses and keeping activations strictly within budget.
- Strong foundational proficiency in Google Suite, with a critical emphasis on Google Sheets (for building event trackers, timelines, and managing budgets) and Google Slides (for formatting clean, client-ready sales enablement decks and presentation materials).
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple overlapping project timelines, prioritize daily tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to execute marketing initiatives that align with overall business goals, while tracking basic performance metrics to see what’s working.
- Innovative thinking when developing unique booth giveaway ideas, custom client gift packages, and fresh promotional concepts.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively alongside designers, digital marketers, and subject-matter consultants.
- Flexibility to handle a diverse mix of daily tasks (from editing a whitepaper to tracking down a missing shipment of swag) and pivot as project needs change.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in brand, content, sales enablement, or event marketing (B2B or agency experience is a major plus).
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing initiatives, including demonstrated success in event planning and management.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling content for various formats, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Google Sheets and Google Slides for project tracking and presentation building.
Work environment:
Modeans are able to work at any location in Virginia, Tennessee, or North Carolina, unless as otherwise required by job responsibilities. Our home office is located in Blacksburg, VA. Our office provides an indoor space with moderate temperatures and noise levels. This allows employees to choose a fully-office, fully-remote, or hybrid work experience. Employees may occasionally need to travel to our office or other locations for items such as training or client visits. We will also provide employees with tools to do their job at home as well as in the office.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the duration of the workday. Individuals must have the ability to constantly operate a computer. Must have the ability to converse with and exchange information to clients and coworkers both in person and through a computer. Capable of occasionally transporting items of 10 lbs or less to and from the office.
